Terms of Service
Last updated: July 8, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Aruna Law Firm website, the Vigil compliance platform, and the Visently mobile application (together, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
1. No Attorney-Client Relationship from Use Alone
Using this website, Vigil, or Visently does not by itself create an attorney-client relationship with Aruna Law Firm. An attorney-client relationship is formed only through a written engagement agreement signed by both you and the firm. Until then, please do not send us confidential information you would not want disclosed.
2. Not Legal Advice
Content on the website, alerts and reminders in the Services, and articles in the Visently news feed are general information, not legal advice. Immigration outcomes depend on the specific facts of each case. For advice about your situation, request a consultation with an attorney.
3. Accounts and Accuracy
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You agree to provide accurate information and to keep uploaded documents and details current. Alerts and tracking are only as reliable as the information provided.
- Employer administrators are responsible for designating appropriate personnel and using access controls consistent with their own obligations to employees.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Services in violation of any law or regulation.
- Attempt to access another user's data without authorization.
- Interfere with, probe, or disrupt the Services or their security features.
- Upload malicious code or content you do not have the right to share.
5. Fees
Legal services are billed under the terms of the applicable engagement agreement. Platform and app subscription fees, where applicable, are described at the time of purchase. Fees are exclusive of taxes unless stated otherwise.
6. Intellectual Property
The Services, including their design, text, software, and trademarks (including the names Vigil and Visently), are owned by Aruna Law Firm or its licensors. You retain all rights to the documents and information you upload; you grant us a limited license to process them solely to provide the Services.
7. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." While we work to keep tracking, alerts, and information accurate and timely, we do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free. Deadlines shown in the Services are aids, not substitutes for legal review of your documents.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aruna Law Firm will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the Services. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the professional responsibility rules governing attorneys, or liability arising under a signed engagement agreement, which is governed by that agreement.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Services at any time and may request deletion of your account data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, with notice where practicable.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
